The challenge
The process had a lot of variability in recipes, cabinet sizes, walkways and demand supply. Until then, the process was partly manual and inefficient.
Our approach
Our consultant developed an application in Azure that automatically calculates cabinet layouts based on recipe combinations, distance and filling capacity. Using Python, SQL and Databricks, real-time control and monitoring was achieved.

Mosadex supplies medications to thousands of pharmacies and healthcare facilities. Within CentralFill, efficiency is crucial. They asked IBS to use data to optimize the filling process of medicine cabinets.
The impact
Recipe processing increased from 70% to 85%. The process became reproducible and scalable, knowledge was secured and waste reduced.
