IBS Matchmaking
Target
The purpose of the design sprint is to develop an idea about adapting/re-designing the recruitment process of new colleagues.
The idea
Our idea focuses on the phase after first hearing about Isatis Business Solutions to sending a resume and/or cover letter. The goal is to increase the percentage of resumes received from the total number of job seekers visiting the website.
The idea here is to gamify the recruitment process by developing a fictional character. Individuals can do this by clicking on a link that takes them to the next screen:

After clicking ‘Click here to create an avatar’, a screen opens where individuals are given a number of points (for example, 50). These points may be awarded to certain characteristics, these are displayed in the screen. Each characteristic must be assigned between 0 and 10 (inclusive) points. Where 0 means that a characteristic is not present and 10 means that this is a characteristic that appears in abundance with the person. The goal is to distribute the points among the characteristics such that the person has mimicked his or her own character. A RUWE sketch can be seen in the header!
When the person is satisfied with the distribution of points, the profile can be sent. After this, a result is immediately displayed that shows a match with an employee of Isatis. An analysis is also done to see how well this person fits Isatis. More about this later in the elaboration.
After the person is informed of the person who best fits his or her characteristics, a CV (+ cover letter) can be uploaded and the person will be contacted by Isatis.
Elaboration
To determine how well a person fits Isatis, this process is also run through all current Isatis employees. Based on these results, it can be determined which colleague is close in characteristics to the person filling it out through the website. A cluster analysis can also be done to give Isatis more insight into the characteristics of employees. When a person fills in the characteristics via the website, it can also be examined to which cluster this person fits best and how far away he or she is from this. From this, one can look at how well a person fits within the organization.
Possibly multiple examples of applicants are needed to determine the degree to which a new applicant fits the organization. Possibly a binary classification can be used when multiple (>100) applicants have used this tool. Based on those who were and were not hired, targets can be determined for this classification. This confidence/reliability of the classification of a new person can then be used to determine the probability that we want to hire this person.
