I have a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cape Town (2007), and an International MBA from the International University of Japan (2015). 

My career spans now 14 years across 4 countries (UK, South Africa, Japan & Philippines) and multiple industries (manufacturing, e-commerce, mining, insurance, consulting, analytics, and product ownership). My specialty is being a generalist, a fast learner and executor who doesn’t enjoy repetitive work. I like ideas, coming up with strategic solutions, executing on those to success and I abhor working alone. 

My current work is at Philips Domestic Appliances as a Data Product Owner. My job is to ensure the complete migration and rebuild of the Philips Retail data platform from scratch, and into a completely new environment. This includes moving from an EU to GLOBAL user base. It’s been quite interesting so far, and to be honest, I had no idea that a product owner had such a huge scope!

In my personal life, I am a husband to Sumeyya who I met in Japan, a cat dad, and hopefully soon a human dad. I enjoy movement of all sorts: martial arts, wrestling, calisthenics, weightlifting, climbing, etc (naturally then, my favourite superhero is Spiderman). 

Don’t be shy to ask me about the things I love – like computer games and computer hardware & tech. I love whisky, music of all sorts, collecting comics (and other collectibles) and beach holidays. Did I mention I like dancing? I LOVE DANCING.  

So far, I am glad to have joined Isatis and hope to make a few friends along the way.
